John Pocock (põ-kok) n.

a rare creature, a modest, self-deprecating, humble version of the estate agent species.

John’s voluntary work started very much at a local level. In the 1980s, he was instrumental in setting up the Rowan Foundation, a training centre for adults with learning disabilities, which has established a reputation for creating unique works of art of an extremely high standard. John’s role as trustee clearly goes far beyond attending meetings and reading reports. He spends time working alongside the trainees, all of whom he knows personally. And yet, John believes he gets back more than he has given.
